

Phillip Wayne Powell, age 47, of St. Johns, Florida died July 6, 2015. He graduated Orange Park High School in 1986. An avid sports fan, outdoorsman, devoted father, husband and faithful church member. Wayne served in the Army Reserve, serving in Desert Storm. He later received both his undergraduate and MBA from the University of Phoenix. He worked at Citi Bank for 23 years culminating as Vice President of Digital Prioritization. An avid fisherman, he would fish anytime or place, from 10 years in the GJKT to any Nor’easters at Guana dam. Wayne was an Elder in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints serving selflessly in many callings, especially in Scouting. A man without guile, all were friends of Wayne.
Wayne was married to the love of his life Sharmain Judah for 23 years and had 4 cherished children, Tyler (20), Nicholas (17), Makenzie (14) and Logan (11). He is also survived by his mother, Phyllis; father, Melvin; sister, Melva and brother, Robert, along with many Aunts, Uncles, in-laws and numerous friends.
Visitation will be held Wednesday, July 15 in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 5490 County Road 210 West St. Johns, FL 32259 from 10 a.m. until time of Funeral Service at 11 a.m. Interment with Military Honors to follow at Jacksonville National Cemetery 4083 Lannie Rd. Jacksonville, FL 32218.
