

Rachel was a creative spirit with a generous heart. She earned her education at Tallahassee Community College and later the University of North Florida, where she received a Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design. She dedicated over 15 years of her professional life to Florida State College at Jacksonville, serving as an academic advisor and making a lasting impact on countless students through her guidance, encouragement, and care.
Rachel had a deep love for arts and crafts and enjoyed games of all kinds. She was especially known for her creativity in leatherworking and her enthusiasm for learning and trying new things. She faithfully volunteered with Hope’s Closet and was actively involved with the Church of Eleven22, Mandarin Campus. Rachel also shared her heart through service as a 6th grade girls’ leader at Eleven22, where she invested in the lives of young girls with compassion and joy.
She is survived by her father, Woody Douglas; her mother, Barbara Douglas; her brother, Kent Douglas; sister-in-law, Tanya Douglas; and her beloved nephews Caleb Douglas, William Douglas, James Douglas, and Luke Douglas. She is also survived by over 100 cousins and many special friends who were deeply impacted by her kindness, humor, and authenticity.
Rachel was preceded in death by her grandparents, Ray and Mabel Klunder, and Kent and Katherine Douglas.
The family would like to extend special thanks to Hershel Finch, Bix and Jason, Danielle, Heather, Sissy, Lauren, Sally, and Heather, whose love and support meant so much.
Rachel will be remembered for her creativity, her servant’s heart, and the genuine love she showed to everyone she encountered. She leaves behind a legacy of compassion, faith, and friendship that will not be forgotten.
