

Mrs. Redetha Sands Williams, 99, passed away on Thursday, February 3, 2011 at Hadlow Community Hopsice Center following a short illness. Mrs. Williams was born October 8, 1911 in Tattnall County, GA and had lived in FL for many years. She is predeceased by eight siblings, her husband of 26 years, Don Edward Williams and her daughter, Judy Williams. She is survived by a daughter, Janice McClure, son-in-law, William McClure, two granddaughters: Amy McClure Sears (Donnie) and Molly McClure Johnson (James Kelly); three great-grandchildren: Don Trawick Sears III (Trey, age 9), Nathan Bryan Johnson (Nate, age 7), and Erin Elizabeth Sears (age 6) and many, many friends and relatives. Mrs. Williams was an active and devoted member for many years at Hogan Baptist Church. She was currently a member of Arlington Congregational Church. Her love, caring and respect for all was made obvious by her interactions with everyone she met. Mrs. Williams was a role model of unselfish and compassionate friendship. The family will receive friends on Saturday, February 5 from 5-7pm at Greenlawn Chapel, 4300 Beach Blvd. The funeral service will also take place at Greenlawn Chapel 2 pm Sunday, February 6 with interment following in Greenlawn Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, Mrs. Williams and her family requests memorial contributions to Community Hospice of NE Florida. Arrangements by Greenlawn Funeral Home.
