
Richard Dean Bowser, 79, of Jacksonville, FL, passed away on July 5, 2023. He was born on December 16, 1943, in Washington DC. Richard was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
Richard enjoyed spending time with his friends and family. He had a passion for being involved in the church and watching Alabama football, the Washington Redskins, and Atlanta Braves. He cherished these moments and found great joy in them.
Richard is survived by his beloved wife, Molly Bowser, his daughter Beverly Pye (James Lee), his son JR Bowser (Pam), his sister Elayne Woolery (Joe), sister Diana Lytle (Bob) and sister Lisa Brannen (Dru), brother-in-law, Bill Toskey and grandchildren, Marcus Mobley, Corey Pye, Robbey Pye (Amber), Ali Bowser, Nick Bowser, Kristy Pye, great grandchildren, Jaxon Pye, Stella Pye and Camden Mobley.
Richard was preceded in death by his parents, Audrey and Dean Bowser, brother, Charlie Bowser, sister-in-law Linda Toskey and grandson, Joey Pye.
Richard attended Suitland High School in Suitland, MD. Following his education, he proudly served in the Air Force for 20 years. Richard's dedication and commitment to his military service were exemplary as part of his service was at the White House Communications Agency.
After his military service, Richard had a successful career with Farm Bureau in Alabama and then moved to Florida. In Florida started working in the car business with Jack Bush Toyota and then with Sign Talk and Advantage Printing & Laminating.
Richard worshipped at Creekside Christian Church, where he found solace and strength in his faith.
In his free time, Richard enjoyed working in the yard, tending to his car and coin collection, and watching sports with his wife, Molly.
A memorial service to celebrate Richard's life will be held at 11:00 am on August 5, 2023, at Creekside Christian Church with full military honors.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Haven Hospice or Creekside Christian Church.
Richard Dean Bowser will be remembered for his kind heart, love for his family, and dedication to his country and community. He will be deeply missed by all whose lives he touched. May his soul rest in peace.
