ROUSSEAU— Gunnery Sergeant Richard F. Rousseau, USMC Retired, son of the late Theresa (Richard) and Joseph Rousseau, died Tuesday, August 5, 2014, after a long illness. He leaves his former wife, Shirley Adams and four children, Theresa L., Richard F., Jr., Michael J. and Charles E. as well as many grandchildren and great grandchildren. He also leaves four sisters, Leona Dolloff, Eva Walsh, Janice Byrne and Frances Minderlein as well as many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a brother, Roland G. Rousseau. “Dick” grew up in Waltham, MA and joined the Marine Corps in 1951. He served in the Korean Conflict and two tours in the Vietnam War. He served his country proudly for twenty years. A memorial service will be held Wednesday, August 13, 2014 at 10:00 AM in the chapel of Corey-Kerlin Funeral Home, 1426 Rowe Avenue followed by the committal of his urn at Jacksonville National Cemetery.
