Richard Alan Shaffer, age 58, passed away February 13, 2014 in Gainesville, Florida. Richard graduated from University of Northern Colorado in Greeley, Colorado. He then moved to Cincinnati, Ohio working for General Electric and Avon before finally moving to Florida where he worked for Revlon / Colomer Group an Operation Manager. Richard enjoyed visiting Caribbean islands and beaches, visiting almost every single one of them. Richard leaves his wife, Min Shaffer of Jacksonville; a brother, Greg Shaffer of Chandler, Arizona; a sister, Joan Shaffer Saint Louis, Missouri; and parents Fred and Frances Shaffer of Ocala, Florida. A Visitation will be held from 6-8p.m. Thursday, February 20 at Hardage-Giddens Funeral Home of Mandarin.
