

Mr. Robert L. Hayden, 61, of Orange Park, passed away on October 28, 2011. Born in Pittsburgh, PA to William and Edith Hoffmann Hayden, he was a loving and devoted husband, father, brother, uncle and friend.
A Penn State and Steelers fan, he worked as an accountant in Pennsylvania until his illness with multiple sclerosis no longer permitted him to work. Despite his physical limitations, Bob Hayden spent his life showing his family and friends how to positively approach life and live each day to its fullest. His spirit will never be forgotten by those lucky enough to have known him.
Preceded in death by his parents, Bob is survived by his loving family; his wife, Peggy Laffan of Jacksonville; daughter, Carly R. Hayden (Andre Barnes) of Jacksonville; son, Robert M. Hayden (Jenny Siler) of OR; siblings, William Hayden (Louise) of OH, Edith Barnes (David) of TX, Jeanne O’Malley of PA and Richard Hayden (Rae Ann) of PA; and dear friend, Robert Laffan.
Mr. Hayden is also preceded in death by brother in law Mark Joseph Oelbermann and survived by his loving in-laws, Ernest and Rebecca Oelbermann, Carol Wood (Doug), Robert Oelbermann, Susan Rice (Mark), and Kathy Dimuccio (Fred).
The Funeral Service will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Friday, November 4th with visitation one hour prior to service in Hardage-Giddens Funeral Home of Mandarin.
