
Robert Henry Huthmacher, 87, passed away Monday, July 16, 2007. Mr. Huthmacher was a native of Charleston, South Carolina and moved to Jacksonville in 1950. He went to work as a machinist for Jefferson-Smurfit Container Corporation where he retired after about 45 years. He was a Life Member and Past President of the International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers, Lodge #00731. Survivors include: his longtime, loving companion, Gwendolyn M. Waters; two sons, Bob (Myrna) Huthmacher and William Scott Huthmacher; step-daughter, Nola (Smokey) Choquette; one sister, Frances Wright; 10 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren, 3 great-great-granddaughters and 2 step-grandsons, Jeff Elliott and Zach Elliott. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am Thursday, July 19, 2007, in the chapel of Corey-Kerlin Funeral Home, 1426 Rowe Avenue, with Mr. Maynard Booher , Minister, Lake Forest Church of Christ, officiating. Interment will follow in Evergreen Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 pm Wednesday (Today) at the funeral home. Mr. Huthmacher was a proud member of the 20 Gallon Club for the Florida Georgia Blood Alliance. His family requests, in lieu of flowers, that either blood or memorial donations be made in his memory.
