
Although Ronnie was a lifelong Gator fan, he graduated from the University of Georgia. He served in the U.S. Coast Guard and in the Reserves. Ronnie was a longstanding Jacksonville Jewish Center member. He spent over 40 years in the Garment Industry allowing him to live in New York, his favorite city, for 15 years. He traveled the world for business and for pleasure with his loving wife, Merle.
Ronnie was predeceased by his father, Sam Cherry, his mother, Gussie Cherry, and his dear brother, Charles Cherry. He is survived by his wife, Merle Cherry, son, Lance (Michelle) Cherry, daughter, Lin (Amy Turkel) Cherry, sister, Maxine (Don) Nohrr, sister-in-law, Carole Cherry, step-sons, Marc (Jenny) Selevan, Andrew (Rebekah) Selevan, and grandchildren, Sloan, Hailey, Dylan, Ethan, Jacob, Bradley, and Alexandra.
The funeral service will be held graveside at Oaklawn Cemetery, 4801 San Jose Boulevard, on Thursday, December 10th at 1:30.
