

Rosalie Ossi was 83 years of age when she was received in the arms of Jesus Christ, her Savior and Lord on March 30th. Rosalie was a loving daughter, sister, aunt, great aunt, cousin and friend to so many.
Rosalie was known for her exuberant personality. She came out with stuff that would just make you laugh; and then you would say, “where did that come from?” Rosalie was born December 2, 1941 in Jacksonville, FL. She was a graduate of Bishop Kenny High School class of 1960. Rosalie attended the St Vincent’s School of Nursing here in Jacksonville for one and a half years. She began her 30+ year career with the Prudential Life Insurance Company. She worked in several different departments and positions and made such great friends. Anyone knowing Rosie knew she loved her family and her LORD and her dear and close friends.
Rosalie was preceded in death by her parents, Stephen and Celesta Ossi; brother Victor, sister Vicky Ossi Jochum, sisters Mary Ann, Vivian and Violet. She is survived by her brother Vincent (Wadad); Virginia O Albanna (Jack-5/8/2011) and her sister Sandra; her sister-in-law, Firial F Ossi (Victor 3/9/1987). Rosalie is survived by many nieces and nephews as well as many loving cousins, which she greatly enjoyed.
In addition, she poured her love and affection into helping shape their lives. Rosalie was involved and loved her church family at Assumption. Rosalie’s life was impacted greatly after a 3 day weekend event of making a Cursillos. It was a life long experience with her LORD JESUS, the WORD of GOD, and being empowered by the HOLY SPIRIT OF GOD. Rosalie enjoyed her many travels to DC, CA, VA & TN and to other countries which began in 1970 through 1974. Rosalie was involved at Assumption Catholic Church all of her life. She was a lector there and involved in Bible studies. Her life was one of faith, hope and love in our LORD JESUS.
The visitation for Rosalie will be held April 15, 2025 at 10 am. The funeral Mass will be held at 11 am at Assumption Catholic Church, 2403 Atlantic Blvd, Jacksonville, FL 32207. Following the mass will be a committal service at Evergreen Cemetery, 4535 N Main St, Jacksonville, FL 32206. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to St Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
