

Sandy worshiped and held membership at First Baptist Church of Jacksonville where she was surrounded by wonderful friends and loved ones.
Sandy was a nurse in the community for 38 years and after retirement, volunteered her time helping others. She lived a life full of grace, dignity and love. Her thoughtfulness and goodness was apparent to all who knew her. She left a wonderful legacy for her family and friends to follow.
She was predeceased by her husband Robert (Bob) Cox.
She is survived by her daughters, Laurie Haskew (Mark), Linda Michael-Davis (Isaac) and Leslie Michael Pecci; her grandchildren Amy and Lauren Haskew, Jonathan and Zac Davis, Jennifer Fair (Brian), Jennifer Elmore, Shayna Carter (Craig), Brooke Warnock, Skye Kim, Alexander and Taylor Pecci; two great-grandchildren, Sir Greene and Cole Pierce.
Her family wants to pay a special note of gratitude to Dr. Colon and his wonderful staff at the Mayo Clinic for their loving care that helped her survive the past seven years.
Visitation will be held at Hardage-Giddens Funeral Home, 4115 Hendricks Ave., on Tuesday evening from 6 – 7:30 pm. The funeral service will be held at First Baptist Church of Jacksonville (Hobson Auditorium) on Wednesday, October 27 at 10:00 am with graveside services following at Jacksonville National Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Community Hospice of NE FL for their exceptional care during her final days.
