

Sara C. Dyal Robertson, 82, died after a valiant fight with cancer on January 26 at the Hadlow Center for Caring, Community Hospice in Jacksonville, Florida. Born in Knoxville, Tennessee, on April 12, 1930 she lived most of her life in Jacksonville. She graduated from Landon High School in 1948 and worked for Gulf Life Insurance for 20 years. She was baptized at Hogan Baptist Church and was a member of Holiday Hill Baptist Church. Sara enjoyed working in her flower gardens, reading, and caring for and loving her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Sara was preceded in death by her parents Fred and Frances Dyal, her sister Dorothy, and her brothers Linville and Ted. Sara is survived by her spouse of 63 years Dan; daughter Linda Beaty, sons Bill, Dave, and Dale, sisters Edna Rogers and Mary Ferguson, eight grandchildren, five great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews and other relatives. A funeral service will be held at 3 PM at Greenlawn Funeral Home, 4300 Beach Blvd, Jacksonville on Saturday, Feb 2, 2013. Burial to follow at Greenlawn. In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial donations be made to North East Community Hospice, 4266 Sunbeam Rd, Jacksonville, Fl 32257.
