Shirley W. Byrd, 77, passed away Friday, February 5, 2021 in Jacksonville, FL. She was born February 19, 1943 in Jacksonville, FL to William and Alpha (Bryan) Wingate. She was preceded in death by her husband William C. Byrd. She is survived by her brother Owen Wingate (Nancy) and numerous nieces and nephews. She was a member of Dinsmore United Methodist Church prior to its closing, the Past Matron of Ezra Chapter 284 Order Eastern Star, Daughter’s of the Nile, Khem Temple #85 and the Amaranth, Acacia Court #10. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service, funeral services will be held at 2:00 Monday, February 8, 2021 at Corey-Kerlin Funeral home at 1426 Rowe Ave 32208 with Rev. Ike Matthews officiating. Internment immediately to follow at Evergreen Cemetery.
