A faithful and humble angel, loving and patient wife, adoring and nurturing mom, supportive sister, attentive daughter, and loyal friend completed her journey on this earth on October 22, 2021. Although her passion was advancing the nutritional impact on the world through education, she was truly happiest with her family. Seeing them and being amongst them brought tears of joy to her eyes. She began and ended her days by the side of her favorite person, her husband and best friend of 58 years. They completed each other and shared a love that could not be replicated.
Dr. Simin Vaghefi had a gift of empathy that she nurtured in everyone she met and epitomized by anticipating the needs of her family and placing them above all else. She has passed that legacy to her children and grandchildren who are devoted to honoring her memory and influence. She always reminded those around her to remember their blessings, small and large, and never forget who they are and what they can do in this life. She will always be remembered for her incredible talents, including her green thumb which would blossom trees and nurture fruit through a seemingly magical snap of her fingers. She spread love by sharing her passion for life and the fruits of her labor with those fortunate enough to have been touched by her spirit. She had a passion for travel, learning, music, and was an endless source of positivity. Simin’s beauty was so inspiring from within that she never needed makeup as her natural beauty and glowing smile would brighten even the darkest of places. Her character and grace will empower us to impact the circle of life around us. We are so grateful to have been blessed by her light as children and grandchildren and we will continue to water the flowers she planted and try our best to bring beauty to the world through her kindness and love.
Simin’s family includes husband: M. Reza Vaghefi, brother Cyrus (Mehrana) Bolourchi, children Shireen V. Firouzian (Farzad) and Jubeen (Lara) Vaghefi, grandchildren Farshad Sean Firouzian, Fardean Dean Firouzian, Cyrus and Soraya Vaghefi and unlimited compassionate friends.
A celebration of her life will be planned in a future date when all family members can be in attendance. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to the Sulzbacher Center for the Homeless in Jacksonville, a personal favorite of her family where she had volunteered.
