TILLER, Sovena “Bennie” Tiller, 84, went to be with the Lord on Friday, September 7, 2007 following a lengthy illness. Mrs. Tiller was a long time member of Arlington Baptist Church where she worked in the day care and nursery for many years. She was preceded in death by her husband of 55 years, Leonard Tiller. She was also preceded in death by 6 brothers: Bill, Dan, James, Bud, Oakley and Arthur Davis; and 4 sisters: Gladys Dishner, Nellie McKinney, Ruth Gillenwater and Ethel Gordon. Survivors include 2 daughters, Patricia Prince and Charlotte Rhodes; 2 brothers, Alfred Davis and J.C. Sweeney; 2 sisters, Gertrude Honaker and Virgie Holmes; 4 grandchildren: Lisa Medlin, Stacey Poppell, Gregory Prince and Brandi Geiger; and 4 great grandchildren: Brandon, Lindsay, Danielle and Halie. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Monday, September 10, in the chapel of COREY-KERLIN FUNERAL HOME, 940 Cesery Blvd., with Rev. Fred Norman, officiating. Interment will be in Arlington Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 4 to 6 PM Sunday (TODAY) at the funeral home.
