Stanley B. Greenfield, 80, passed away Thursday, November 7, 2019 in Jacksonville Beach, FL. He was born August 22, 1939 to Arthur and Esther Greenfield in Savannah, GA. Stanley loved to travel and his greatest joy was spending time with his family. Stanley’s hobbies included dancing, amateur radio, collecting antique cars and fountain pens, and taking the time every day to tell his wife Gail that she is amazing. He is known for his fabulous sense of humor and being such a spectacular storyteller that he could even make an obituary sound interesting. Stanley’s blog about his journey with Cancer was full of humor, honesty, and proof of how to live every moment to the fullest. He is preceded in death by his parents, sister Julie, and brothers Leonard and Gerald. Stanley is survived by his wife of 57 years, Gail, daughters Melinda and Debra (Nik), grandchildren Nathan, Josie and Lily. A service will be held in the chapel of Hardage-Giddens Greenlawn Funeral Home, 4300 Beach Blvd., Jacksonville, FL 32207 on Sunday, November 10, 2019 at 1:00pm. Interment to follow in Greenlawn cemetery at 2pm. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Hadassah, River Garden Hebrew Home or Temple of Ahavath Chesed in honor of Stanley Greenfield.
