Stephen Fletcher Martin was born on September 2, 1948 in Columbia, S.C. He passed away on October 18, 2021 in Memorial Hospital after being removed from life support. He was 73 and had struggled for years with several illnesses.
He was a fun-loving man, certainly a unique individual. He enjoyed , fishing, fossil hunting leather carving and riding Harley Davidson motorcycles. He was a humorous man with a great wit and was known to many as a walking encyclopedia. He was outgoing enjoyed meeting new people and was especially kind to children. He was happily married for 36 years and nothing meant more to him than his children. He always said they were his greatest accomplishment and his greatest joy. He was a confirmed Catholic and had committed most of the Holy Bible to memory. He witnessed heavily to non-believers and prayed for them in earnest. He will be truly missed by all that know him and his family who dearly love him.
He is survived by his wife, Keeley; his daughters, Cynthia, Jennifer, Amanda and Bridgette Alison; his grandchildren, Ava and Bruce Strickland; and his brother Frederick.
A graveside service for Stephen will be held Friday, October 29, 2021 at 11:00am in Oaklawn Cemetery, 4801 San Jose Blvd., Jacksonville, FL 32207.
