Steven Adam Hunt, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend, passed away peacefully on January 9, 2025, in Yulee, Florida. Born on July 20, 1961, in Long Island, New York to Brenda Turnbull and Peter Hunt (both of whom preceded him in death), Steve lived a life marked by generosity and kindness that touched the hearts of many.
Steve is survived by his loving wife Lisa Ann (Levesque) Hunt; his sons Ryan C. Hawley (wife Lindsey) and Timothy Hunt; daughters Amanda (Hunt) Hunter and Ashli (Hunt) Clarke; as well as Kailyn Carver (husband Zach). He was also a proud grandfather to six cherished grandchildren who brought immense joy into his life. As the devoted brother to Michelle Toland and Mindy Gumbs (husband Julian), he shared countless memories filled with laughter and love.
Throughout his life, Steve was known for his unwavering willingness to help others. Whether it was stopping to assist a stranger or lending an ear when someone needed support—his generous spirit knew no bounds. His passion for tinkering with cars became legendary among family and friends; he had an uncanny ability to diagnose mechanical issues simply by listening over the phone—a testament not only to his skills but also to the care he took in helping those around him.
Steve's sense of humor was infectious; he could light up any room with laughter that echoed long after he'd left it. His playful nature made every gathering memorable while reminding everyone of the importance of joy amidst life's challenges.
Above all else, Steve adored his children and grandchildren fiercely. They were the center of his universe—their accomplishments filled him with pride beyond measure—and their happiness meant everything to him. The bond they shared will forever be etched in their hearts as they navigate this world without him.
A graveside service honoring Steven’s remarkable life will take place on January 13th at Bosque Bello Cemetery located at 1321 N 14th St., Fernandina Beach FL 32034 at 11 AM. Family members invite all who knew Steve—friends old and new—to join them in celebrating a man whose legacy will live on through acts of kindness inspired by his example.
Though words cannot fully capture what Steven Adam Hunt meant to so many people or how deeply he will be missed—it is clear that those fortunate enough to have crossed paths with him carry forward pieces of his spirit within themselves always.
