Steven James Walker was 45 years old. He died the evening of February 16, 2016 at St. Vincents Southside after battling a long term illness while surrounded by friends and family. He was the husband of Nancy Walker. They shared 19 years of marriage together and had one daughter (Whitney Walker).
Steven was born in Avon Park Florida, he was the son of James Wilbur Walker and Regena Walker. He attended Englewood High School in Jacksonville. He was later employed at the Duval County Public Schools as a Janitorial Supervisor at Douglas Anderson School of the Arts and a few other schools along the way.
Steven or "Steve" as many people called him absolutely loved fishing, gardening cooking, and especially spending time with his family and friends. He will be greatly remembered for his generosity, kind heart, incredible sense of humor, and strength.
Steven Walker is survived by his spouse, Nancy J. Walker; his daughter, Whitney N. Walker; his father, James W. Walker; his mother, Regena M. Walker; his sister, Lindsey B. Maddox (Jason) and his nieces, Kyleigh B. Maddox and Kinley S. Maddox all of Jacksonville, Florida.
