Sue Ann was an English teacher at duPont Junior High School, Jefferson Davis Junior High School, and Sandalwood High School for 38 years. Her love of literature and her students provided her with many good memories. Her pleasure was to teach the person who wanted to learn regardless of his or her literacy over the student who did not value learning.

She enjoyed her own sense of humor as well as others who brought laughter to the lives of many. She loved traveling and was lucky enough to have traveled to many continents. She was a religious/spiritual person who was a member of the Jacksonville Jewish Center from a very young age to her death. Henry and Sue Ann were married at the Center and raised Todd and Barry through its Sunday school, Hebrew school, and youth groups.
Their bar mitzvahs were held there and later their confirmations. Youth groups, camping with Dov Kentof, along with a Havurah and other synagogue activities greatly enriched her Jewish faith.
Besides her family, her teaching and her faith, Sue Ann was blessed with a wonderful group of friends who friends provided joy and life's lessons. Sue Ann had a gift of being able to talk to anyone. She loved people and was a loyal friend. Along with her many friends, Sue Ann was an avid reader who was almost never without a book as well as her several book clubs. She had a lifelong love of the beach. She enjoyed writing and strove to be a good communicator. She was a strong believer in honesty and loyalty. She was a generous person with her time and money. She took pleasure in living her life to the fullest and was most grateful for her talents and blessings. Two of her most treasured blessings were the relationships she shared with Finesse and with Shana, both of whom she adored "to the moon and back." She was proud of her children Todd and Finesse, Barry, Shana and Sean as well as her grandchildren, Elise Schuyton, Maddie Corvers, Chase Corvers and Bria Blumenthal.
