Terry Dolan Wright passed away on Wednesday, December 10, 2014 in Jacksonville. He was born in Thomasville, North Carolina in 1951. Terry moved to Jacksonville at a young age and aspired to repair cars and one day have his own business. He accomplished this in 1983 with the opening of his business, Wright’s Automotive. His business served his community for over 31 years until its closing. Terry had a passion for racing and did so for many years at numerous tracks in Florida and Georgia. He also participated in his son’s racing for 22 years. Terry was a devoted family man, a great friend to many, and a loving and giving man.
He is survived by his wife, Rhonda; his children, Jessica Dolana, Terri Amanda, Terry Michael and Jesse Craig; his parents, Betty and Ernie; brothers, George and Tim; sister, Lynn; and five grandchildren.
Visitation will be held from 4:00pm to 7:00pm on Sunday, December 14, 2014 at Hardage-Giddens Hendricks Chapel, 4115 Hendricks Ave., Jacksonville, FL 32207. The Funeral Service will be held at 11:00am on Monday, December 15, 2014 at Hardage-Giddens Hendricks Chapel, followed by interment at Oaklawn Cemetery.
