She was involved with The Garden Club and twice served as president of the Laurel Garden Circle, was a volunteer to the Riverside Hospital Auxiliary and was a neighborhood chairman of the March of Dimes and the Cancer Society. Active in church work and Bible Study Fellowship, she had been Youth Coordinator and president of United Methodist Women of Ortega Church, sang in the choir for five years and served on its Official Board. Memorial services will be held held in the sanctuary of Ortega United Methodist Church, 4807 Roosevelt Blvd. Saturday, Dec. 8. At 11:00 am . In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorials be made to the Music Department of the church.
