Theresa Casey Wilkerson

Theresa Casey Wilkerson, 74, passed away Wednesday April 22nd at her residence. Born September 25, 1940 to Elizabeth and Cornelius Casey, Theresa grew up in Savannah, GA with her 5 sisters and 2 brothers. She graduated from Savannah High School in 1959 and began working for DuFour Insurance Company.She married Bob Wilkerson on April 30, 1966.They moved to Jacksonville in 1967 and had four children. Theresa dedicated her life caring for the family she loved dearly.She was the kindest and most compassionate person you would ever meet.She was loved by everyone who knew her.She was active in her church. She enjoyed the beach and being Nana to her grandchildren, and was an avid reader. Theresa had a passion for tennis and played for many years.She will always be remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and aunt. Theresa is preceded in death by her parents, one brother, and three sisters.She is survived by her loving husband of 49 years, Robert Wilkerson, Sr., her son Robert Wilkerson, Jr, three daughters Kathleen Wilkerson, Aletha Dresback (Kyle), Amy Smith (Alan), her brother, Joseph Casey, two sisters, Helen Sumowski and Gloria Thomas, seven grandchildren, Jordan, Andrew, Chloe, Benjamin, Emma, Sarah, and Charlie along with numerous nephews and nieces.
