Thomas J. Byrd, Jr. passed away peacefully on May 29, 2013. Thomas was a retired captain of the Jacksonville Fire Department, and a veteran of the Navy. Funeral services will be held Monday, June 3 at 10 AM at Hardage-Giddens Funeral Home, 729 S. Edgewood Ave, Jacksonville. Burial will follow at Jacksonville National Cemetery, with full military honors.
