FLETCHER - Thomas Edward Fletcher 88, passed away Wednesday August 2, 2017. Born November 2, 1928 in Greensboro North Carolina. He proudly served his county by joining the Air Force in 1948. He remained a civil servant until his retirement in 1989. He was predeceased by his two sons, Richard “Rick” Fletcher and Thomas “Eddie” Fletcher, Jr. Thomas is survived by his wife of 64 years, Betty Fletcher; his sister, Jean Cathy; 3 daughters, Linda Mcallister (Colin) of Springfield MO, Becky Downing (Mark) of Jacksonville, Cindy Smith Pride (Daryl) of Jacksonville, 9 grandchildren, and 15 Great grandchildren. Tommy was an avid golfer who often shot his age. He was a founding member of East Pointe Baptist Church. A Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, August 8, 2017 at 10:30 AM at the Corey-Kerlin Funeral Home Chapel, 940 Cesery Blvd. Jacksonville, FL 904-744-8422. The family will receive friends from 9:30 am to 10:30 am. Graveside services will follow at 12:30 pm at Jacksonville National Cemetery.
