Thomas Lopez

Thomas Alan Lopez, 59, passed away September 2, 2010 unexpectedly at home in Jacksonville, FL. Thomas was born June 23, 1951 in Nampa, Idaho. He graduated from the University of New Orleans. Thomas is survived by his loving wife, Carole Sandman, to whom he was devoted for nearly 18 years; his children, Andrea Lopez Gehle of Tyler, Texas, Byron Lopez of New Orleans, Louisiana; his step-children, David Sandman of Vail, Colorado, Michon Sandman Kanter of Vail, Colorado, and Paul Sandman of Kissimmee, Florida; grandchild, Sandi Sandman of Kissimmee, Florida, and his siblings, Venita Lopez Hillburn of Salt Lake City, Utah, Vincent Lamont Lopez of Flower Mound, Texas, Kris Lopez of Corpus Christi, Texas, and Dennis R. Lopez of Durango, Colorado, and a half sister, Leigh Ellen (Frances) Ashley of Tucson, Arizona. Tom is also survived by his parents, Vincent G. and Ruth Lopez, of Bountiful, Utah.

A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m., Monday, September 6, at Greenlawn Chapel, 4300 Beach Blvd., Jacksonville, Florida.
