Timothy Daniel Mays

Timothy Daniel Mays, 52, passed away peacefully, surrounded by family and friends on May 1, 2023. He is preceded in death by both parents, Robert Scott Mays, Jr and Cherylann Gloria Mays. He is survived by his wife, LeAnn R. Mays, and their children Alex Latimer (20), Lillian Marie Mays (17), Emma Lynn Mays (15) and Nathan Terry Mays (15). He is also survived by his ex-wife, Denise Mays and their son, Logan Tyler Mays (26). In addition, he leaves behind an older sister, Donna E Smith, and younger brother Steven R. Mays (Kelly). Nieces and nephews include: Tobias Q. Smith, Daniel R. Mays, Matthew S. Mays and Cassie R. Mays. Other extended family include a host of aunts, uncles and cousins.

Timothy loved being outdoors, in the sun, at the beach. He enjoyed surfing and fishing since childhood.

Timothy was born and raised in Jacksonville and professed his belief in Jesus as his Savior at age 7. The family takes comfort in knowing he is in a better place and is at peace.

A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, May 27, 2023 at Corey-Kerlin Funeral Home, 940 Cesery Blvd, Jacksonville, Fl from 2:0 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, the family recommends donations to Donate Life America (donatelife.net) which assists people in need of organ donation.
