Valda G. Robbins, 89, passed away on January 28, 2013. She was born in Waycross, GA to the late Lonnie and Eva Mae Griffin. Valda was an accountant with Southern Bell for over 30 years before retiring. She enjoyed spending time with her family and especially her grandchildren.
Preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, Merlin “Robbie” Robbins, she is survived by her son, Steven C. Robbins (Stephanie); daughter, Janna L. Connolly; brother, William Griffin (Lucille); grandchildren, Danielle, Kelly (Kyle), and Christopher; great granddaughter, Emma; along with other family members and friends.
A Memorial Service will be held 11:00 a.m. on Friday, February 1, 2013 with visitation one hour prior to service in Hardage-Giddens Funeral Home of Mandarin. Memorial contributions may be made in Valda’s name to Haven Hospice, 4200 NW 90th Blvd., Gainesville, FL 32606.
