Vince was a friend of my son, Wade, but I considered him my friend as well. We had some interesting conversations. A coffee aficionado, Vince once filled me in about coffee, how and where it’s grown around the world, what makes a good cup of Joe verses a poor one, etc. 
The next time I saw him, he presented me with, as you might guess, gourmet coffee! I told him i’d try not to ruin it, and we had a good laugh, as I’m an infamous cook.
I’m sorry we did not know back in June that Vince passed away. I have thought of nothing else since learning the unbelievable news. 
Godspeed, my young friend, gone far too soon. I’ll remember your sense of humor and fun nature. I may be an old lady, but you didn’t mind. We were buds.

I have so many great memories of Vince.  He had a great smile and I thought of him as a little brother. I was looking forward to running into him.....My love to the Torralba family.
