ALEXANDER - Vivian Lewis Alexander, 72, peacefully passed away on May 10, 2014. She was born July 14, 1941 to Tony and Mary Bachara Lewis and graduated from Andrew Jackson in 1959. Vivian was associated with First Baptist Church of Oceanway, North Jacksonville Baptist Church and the Fellowship of Christian Athletes. She was a loving and devoted mother (Viv), grandmother (Situ), aunt (Bibi) and friend. Along with her parents, Vivian was predeceased by her husband, Roger Wayne Alexander, and her brothers, George “JR” Lewis and Richard Lewis. She is survived by her son, David Wayne Alexander (Jennifer); grandchildren David Wayne, II and Kamryn Lynn; sisters Lorraine Corey (Tom) and Nelseen; sister-in-law Bonnie;, and many loving cousins, nieces and nephews. On Tuesday, May 20, the family will receive visitors from 4-6pm, followed by a memorial service and reception at the Salaam Club, 8101 Beach Boulevard, 32216. The family requests no flowers.
