I just learned that your address has changed in recent days.  There are sooo many! of us who will look forward to seeing you there.  God certainly blessed us all when you entered our lives a dozen or so years ago.  The memories of sharing all the countless special times with you and Harold mean so much to those of us throughout the music community in our region.

Vivian was the sweetest, kindest person I ever knew.  She graciously opened her house and her heart for all of the girls in the Corn Cob Clan.  We will all miss her terribly.  She is gone, but not forgotten.

I'd have to write a book to tell how much Vivian's friendship meant to my son and me. Beautiful, loving, kind, appreciative, helpful, joyful in Christ, Vivian was all the good things I'd ever strive to be. I'll always miss your sweet mile, but your love and kindness to me will live in my heart.

I am at a loss for words because Vivian was so special and I was deeply saddened to hear the news.  She was small in stature so I don't know how she had room for that big heart.  I was privileged to meet her daughter and son both of whom she was extremely proud of.  And don't get her started about her grands and great grand babies.  She always kept us up to date with pictures of their changes, accomplishments, and family gatherings. Vivian was a member of the Corn Cob Clan and could she ever belt out a song!  Her adorable personality would always connect to the audience bringing smiles of delight.  We celebrated many Christmases in her house with every square inch decorated.  And boy, could she ever throw a party!  I have many fond memories of the times we spent together. Everyone who ever met her loved her.  My thoughts and prayers are with her family in these most difficult days. I know "there'll be some changes made" in heaven.     Jerrie Tomlinson CCC member

Vivian was very special to me.  She was like my second Mother.  I enjoyed spending many days and nights at the Vandivers with Brenda and the family.
She was a loving and caring person with a good sense of humor also. I am thankful to have known her and know she will be missed by many.

While I never met her, my mother was her neighbor and her son is my friend - so I've felt connected over the years and I'm feeling the loss now.  I know these are dark days here, but there is peace and rejoicing in heaven.

Vivian was the most caring and loving person I had ever met. My family has known her since I was a little girl.  She always made me feel like I was part of the family.  Heaven has gained a beautiful angel. I will miss her very much but, her loving spirit will live in my heart always.

I was so blessed to have known Vivian. I have known her since I was a little girl. She always took me under wing to make me feel like family.  I will miss her but, her dear spirit will be in my heart forever.

We will miss Aunt Vivian always. She would always call me and ask how everyone's doing and say how much she missed Daddy, John and Harry. She was always loving and always said family should stick together and stay in touch. She has been my aunt almost my entire life and we have so many good memories of visiting on Hubbard St an playing with Clay as we were little kids, as well as my sisters babysitting him. She has always been a McDowell and part of our family and always will be.

I could have gone through life without the pleasure of knowing and loving Vivian.   Thank God for the privilege I was given, she was a wonderful caring and loving person and will forever be in my heart.

Vivian you will be so missed by many. My visits with you were so enjoyable and you always kept me laughing. Your love for life and people is amazing and your sweet spirit is so special. I am thankful that you came into my life. I really enjoyed the last few months visiting with you and your daughter Brenda at your home and we sure had fun going out to eat. You enjoyed it so much and it was so nice to see you happy. I am thankful you had the time with Brenda and that she was able to stay here with you. She would always say to me my sweet little Momma. Vivian will be missed. I always enjoyed spending time with her. She was always so sweet and made you feel like you were part of the family. I am so glad I got to know her through Clay and Charlie. My deepest condolences. Vivian (Clay's mom) was alway so warm and welcoming to me when I came by their house. I's grateful I knew her even as little as I did. Her warm spirit and love for her son always shined through.

Mom, I wanted to be one of the first people to sign the book because after today I'm likely to be really busy - but you knew I would be. I truly envy you getting to see Dad again after all these years. John too. And Harold. I know they all were special to you and added in their own way to the wonderful tapestry of life you wove. There were a million moments that were special, but some that always seemed to stick with you were; when I was gone too long in the pacific northwest and you were sure I was lost forever from that campground; the time I left for California and John told you not to be sad but you were anyway; not letting me go to my Dad's funeral because at 3 I would have begun talking to him expecting him to answer me and you always said that would have been more than you could take. All these things I loved you for. I've always tried to raise my beautiful kids like you would have wanted me to. They are turning out great - unlike so many kids today - mostly because of your influence and teaching me how to be a parent by your excellent example. Of course by the time I came along you already had a lot of practice with Patsy and Brenda. There were funny moments too: When you told the doctors and nurses recently that "if they tried to get you to do therapy again you'd punch them in the nose" and they would say "Mrs. Vivian I sure hope you won't do that" and you immediately softened and looked at them with the sweetest "Oh, I wouldn't... I promise". That was my sweet little Mama still peeking out and warming everyone's heart just as you always had. I'll never forget those moments of sweetness. Your grandkids won't forget their "Gomama" either. Tell Aunt Bertha, Uncle JP, Uncle Lee, Aunt Geneva, and Grandma and Grandpa hello for us. I love you.
