Gail, Becky, Jon and Tori
It's with a heavy heart as we offer our condolences to all of you as a wife and children of my brother Bill. He loved all of you unconditionally. What a tribute and legacy he offered to so many lives that he touched. I have so many wonderful memories of my brother Bill. Growing up in Trout Lake he always looked out for his younger brothers and sister and cared about their welfare. I love him and will miss him very much. Rest in peace until we meet again in the heavens above. In Jesus name we pray for all of you.
Love Buzz and Sharon

To Becky, Gail, Jon and Tori,

Bill left a lasting impact on me as a man. I appreciate the time that you shared him with me. He was a great example for me to see. He was a terrific husband, father and friend. I will miss.....
1) the hooting and hollering at the YMCA in the early morning. 2) The wisdom that he shared with me about life's challenges. 3) The concern that he had for others that had challenges. 4). His humbleness and patience. He was a "renaissance man" with so many talents and will be missed by so many. I am so sorry for your loss.

OLLI at UNF mourns the loss of one of its most beloved and admired instructors. He will be missed more than words can say. We hope the Howes family is comforted by many happy memories of the years you shared.

I first met Bill at Bishop Kenny HS approximately ten years ago. We were both Substitute Teachers. It took me most of those years before I started calling him Bill and not Dr. Howes. He became a good friend. He was an even better person. I will miss his kindness, wittiness and overall knowledge of sports. RIP Bill. And God Bless Gail and the family.

My life is richer because of knowing Bill. I know him as an instructor in OLLI, a member of our discussion groups with Herb and Judy, and for his help with my presentation at a Unitarian Church group. His knowledge of so many things in history, education and our world was impressive and made those around him seek to know more. I am glad he and his wife had such interesting travel experiences in his semi-retirement years.

I remember Dr. Howes because he was such a reliable and pleasant substitute teacher for us here at BK for so many years after he retired. He was always wonderful with the students and a true joy to be around. May God bless him and your family.
