William Charles Patterson

William Charles Patterson, age 85, passed away on Friday, July 21, 2017. He was born in Jacksonville November 30, 1931 to William Z. and Agnes Warren Patterson. He attended Andrew Jackson High School, class of 1950. He held memberships in Arlington Masonic Lodge #309 over 55 years, Scottish Rite, Morocco Temple, Scout Master – Boy Scout Troop 185, and Arlington Presbyterian Church. He also spent 34 years with JEA before retiring. His greatest pleasures were spending time with his family, Gator football, and hunting with his sons, grandson Kaleb, and friend Wayne. Charles was predeceased by his parents and son William Charles (Chuck) Patterson. He is survived by his wife Joy of 64 years, son Craig, grandchildren Kirsten and Kaleb, great-grandchild Brayden, sister Kay Pendergras, and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. Services will be held 11:30 AM Wednesday, July 26, 2017 at Corey-Kerlin Funeral Home at 940 Cesery Blvd, Jacksonville, FL 32211 with Pastor Joe Medearis. Visitation will be one hour prior to service. Interment 2:00 PM at Jacksonville National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to Boy Scouts of America at 5215 Edgewood Ave Jacksonville, FL 32205 or a charity of your choice.
