William Bryant “Bill” Thompson, Jr., age 78, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, December 29, 2016. He was born in Jacksonville, Florida on June 28, 1938. He graduated from Landon High School in 1956 and attended the University of Florida and Jacksonville University. He retired from IBM as Field Senior Project Manager after spending his professional life in data processing. He attended Christian Family Chapel and served as a deacon for over 30 years.
Bill is survived by his wife of 57 years, Alice R. Thompson; daughter, Leslie T. McCart (Harold); granddaughters, Arabella, Shelby, and Petal McCart; sisters, Betty June Thompson of Orlando and Dottie Sypher (Gilbert) of Canton, Michigan.
Services will be held at 11:00am, Friday, January 6, 2017 at Christian Family Chapel, 1365 Old St. Augustine Rd., Jacksonville, Florida. Memorial donations may be made to CRU Ministries on their website at give.cru.org/0052820 and type “Bill Thompson Memorial” under “Optional Comments”.
