Zekeya Susie Peake, age 86, passed away on Friday, August 19, 2022. Zekeya was born March 27, 1936 in Jacksonville, FL to Halil and Ida Gamel Nabi. She worked for 32 years and retired from Bank of America. Zekeya was a loving and devoted mother and grandmother; she was known as very loyal and caring woman to her family. Zekeya also had a love for animals. She was a longtime member of Lakeshore Baptist Church.
Zekeya was preceded in death by her parents, Halil and Ida Nabi; her husband, William C. Peake; and daughter, Billie Lynn Peake. She is survived by her two daughters, Cathy Peake Burke (Greg) and Star Sullivan (fiancee Mace Kirkland); one grandson, Zachary Burke; and one cousin, Michael Nabi.
A graveside service will be held Tuesday, August 23, 2022 at 12:00 PM at Greenlawn Cemetery, 4300 Beach Blvd, Jacksonville, FL 32207.
