Anita Fern Hobbs Hobbs Redd

A funeral service will be held at 4:00pm, Sunday, August 7, 2016 at the New River Community Church of God, Sneads Ferry with Rev. Steve Allen officiating. Burial will follow at Fulcher Family Cemetery, Sneads Ferry.

Mrs. Redd was a retired cook and pie maker from the Riverview Restaurant, and was a member of New River Community Church of God, Sneads Ferry. She was preceded in death by her husband, Joe Frank Redd, Sr. and son-in-law, Philip Lanier.

She is survived by her daughters, Necia Davis and husband Buddy of Sneads Ferry, Judy Lanier of Jacksonville, and Retha Redd and husband Daniel Glass of Wilmington. Son, Joe Frank Redd, Jr. and wife Etta of Sneads Ferry, grandchildren, Billy Davis, Stevie Davis, Joseph Davis, Barbara Edens, Wendy Ross, Shana Padgett, Brooks Lanier, Holly Rhodes, great grandchildren, Lauren Fagan, Ryan Fisher, Ayrien Davis, Jordan Davis, Rookie Davis, Jodi Padgett, Madison Davis, Hannah Davis, Daniel Davis, Lee Edens, Colton Padgett, Ike Edens, Tyler Lanier, Gracie Edens, Haylie Lanier, Memphis Rhodes, Annie Edens, great great grandchildren, Kaya Gwen, Oscee Fagan, Anson Fisher.

Flowers are accepted or Memorial Contributions may be made to Lower Cape Fear Hospice, 1414 Physicians Drive, Wilmington NC 28401.

The family will receive friends 2:00pm-4:00pm, two hours prior to the service Sunday, at the church.
