John Sherman Rowland Jr.

Mr. Rowland served in the US Army for over five years. He was a member of the GWRRA Chapter F and a member of the VFW.

A Funeral Service will be held Wednesday, January 9, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. at Johnson Funeral Home, Jacksonville with Chaplain Paula Bradley officiating. Burial will follow at the Coston Davis Family Cemetery.

He is survived by his wife: Sandra Davis Rowland; sons: John Sherman Rowland, III of Lynchburg, Va., Donald Smith of Maple Hill, NC; daughters: Amy Rowland of Lynchburg, Va., Jennifer Andrews of Mebane, NC; mother: Mildred McMillen Rowland of Springfield, Ohio; brothers: Neville Rowland of Texas, David Rowland of Springfield, Ohio, Bruce Rowland of Springfield, Ohio, Billy Stafford of Columbus, Ohio; sisters: Brenda Fultz of Springfield, Ohio, Audrey Oost of Michias, Maine, Cindy Schneider of Columbus, Ohio, Debra Stafford of Nevada; seven grandchildren and one great grandchild.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, January 8, 2013 from 7:00 -9:00 p.m. at Johnson Funeral Home, Jacksonville.
