

Bill was a member of the Bethlehem Free Will Baptist Church, Chinquapin. He was retired from the USMC of 21 years and also of the Civil Service, TMO.
A Funeral Service will be held Friday, August 14, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. at the Bethlehem Free Will Baptist Church, Chinquapin with Reverend Doug Radford officiating with military honors. The family will have a private burial at a later date.
He is survived by his daughter: Billie Cronan of Jacksonville; wife: Peggy Curtis of Chinquapin; step daughter: Cheryl Moseley DeMatteo of Sneads Ferry; step sons: Murrice Earl Taylor of Jacksonville; Patrick McGirl of Stella, NC, Richard McGirl of Platteville, Col., Allen McGirl of Engelwood, Col., brother: George Curtis of Rockland, ME.; sister: Clara Aruajo of Fall River, Mass.; twelve grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 12:30- 2:00 p.m. prior to the service on Friday at the church.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
