David Eugene Lawrence, 78, of Townley, passed away Tuesday, Feb. 3, 2015, at his residence. Visitation will be today, Feb. 5, 2015, from noon until 1 p.m., at Union Grove Baptist Church in Barney. Funeral services will be today, Feb. 5, 2015, at 1 p.m., at Union Grove Baptist Church in Barney. Dale Jacks will officiate. Burial will be in Pocahontas Cemetery. Lawrence was preceded in death by his wife, Elizabeth Lawrence; brother, Dorman Lawrence; sister, Faye Nell Hall; mother, Frankie Lawrence; and father, Virgil Lawrence. He is survived by his daughter, E. Ann Hitchock (Kenneth); granddaughter, Merinda A. Pugh; grandson, David E Hitchock (Angie); great-grandchildren, Nikkole Pugh, Kayla Pugh, Aidan Hitchcock; sister, Dewanda Woods (Odis), Bertha Lou Dozier (Earl) and Melba Eads (Scott); brothers: Joe Lawrence (Chris); host of nieces and nephews; and special caregiver, Barbara Woods.
