Mother was born on February 14, 1933, as was always so proud to be her daddy’s special Valentine. Education was important to our grandparents and Mother graduated from Walker County High School in 1950. She met and married our daddy on October 12, 1950. They were the best parents to us. They raised us in First Baptist Church of Jasper. Daddy taught RA and Sunday school and Mother worked in the nursery. We all asked Jesus into our hearts and were baptized there. Mother was well known across Jasper for the cakes she made. One Christmas Eve she made 24 cakes. That was a record for her.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James O. Cole; parents, Fred and Delia Hinton Noles; brother, Paul Noles and sister, Reba Noles.
She is survived by her children, Fred Cole (Wendy), Nancy Payne (David) and Eddie Cole (Machelle); grandchildren, Laura Cole, Jonathan Payne (Christen), Natalie Hallmark (Ryan), Aydrian McCurry (Adam), Rachael Dodd (Tyler) and Erin Cole; great grandchildren, Brody Quattlebaum, Katie Hallmark, Tegan Hallmark, Lee McCurry, Noah McCurry, Maddie Aaron, Marley Aaron, Caroline Payne, Ada Jean Dodd and Avya Grace Mc Curry; sisters-in-law, Kathleen Noles and Peggy Lowe; brother- in-law, Don Callahan, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other children she thought of as her own and many good friends.
A special thank you to the wonderful staff at South Haven Health and Rehab for taking such wonderful care of our Mother. She loved all of you very much and especially Hollie Campbell.
