Mrs. Gail Johnson, 74, of Nauvoo, passed away on Wednesday in her home surrounded by her loved ones. Born in Dearborn, Michigan, Mrs. Johnson attended Lincoln Park High and lived in Michigan until she met her soon-to-be husband, Cecil Johnson. Cecil and Gail moved to Nauvoo in 1977. They shared 55 years and a son together. They were involved with St. Cecelia Church. Her husband passed in October, and her son passed 15 years ago.
Mrs. Johnson will be buried at Spring Hill Cemetery on Sunday, March 22nd.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Cecil Johnson; son, Chris Johnson; sister, Cynthia Briscoe; brother, William Loria Jr; and father-in-law, Willard Johnson.
She is survived by her granddaughter, Karlie Lawson (Jake); grandson, Caleb Johnson (Jeanie); siblings, Lynne Darling (Christopher), Fred Loria (Laurie), Ruthann Novook (Paul), Caroline Desmond (Richard); and great grandchildren, Kartyr and Jagger Lawson and Liam Johnson.
