Hazel Valeri Cooksey Dustin, February 20, 1923 - August 23, 2014, at the age 91 of Jasper, Passed away on August 23rd. Visitation will be held at Kilgore - Green Tuesday, August 26, 2014, from 10:00 - 11:00 AM, services will follow at 11:00 AM. Burial will be at Walker Memory Gardens. Pastor David Byrd will be officiating. Hazel was a longtime active member of North Side Baptist Church. She was a receptionist for the late Dr. T.G. Kelly and an Insurance clerk and retired after 20 years of service. She was a volunteer at Walker Regional Medical Center and The NearlyNew Shop, She enjoyed being a member of TOPS and the Walker Walkers. Hazel was preceded in death by her parents, A.J.Hyde and Susan Wakefield Hyde, brothers, Casey, Joe and Orion Hyde, and sister Faynell Hyde Brown and their spouses, her husband of 53 years Chester R. Cooksey Sr. and her second husband John F. Dustin. Hazel is survived by two sisters, Gay Stack and Pauline Eason and one brother Tharold Hyde, her son C.Richard Cooksey Jr., (Marilyn), grandchildren Ann Chambers(Kevin), Amy Matheson(Richard), two great grandchildren, Kody and Drew Chambers.
