James Franklin “Frank” Caldwell, 85, of Jasper, passed away Saturday, April 6, 2024, at his residence. Family will receive friends Tuesday, April 9, 2024, from 1 p.m. until 2 p.m. at Jasper’s First Baptist Church. Service will follow at 2 p.m. Burial will be at Oak Hill Cemetery. Dr. Michael Adams and Bro. Andy Frazier will officiate.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 57 years, Melba Irene Ratliff Caldwell; son, James Franklin Caldwell Jr. “Jamie”; parents, Clarence Hunter Caldwell and Marjorie Elizabeth Waldrop Caldwell; brother, Donald C. Caldwell; son-in-law, Geoff Perdue and mother in law, Margaret Irene Ratliff.
He is survived by his children, Carla Caldwell and Amy C. Herren (Mark); grandchildren, Anna Caldwell, Laura Caldwell, Tanner Perdue, Kesley Perdue; and sister, Joyce C. Patterson.
Honorary pallbearers will be Jasper Kiwanis Club. Pallbearers will be Warren Caldwell, Steve Preston, Terry Preston, Terry Preston, Jon Preston and Mark Herren.
In lieu of flowers, the family request donations be made to Walker County Community Foundaiton.
