

Shelby Jo O'Rear was born on Christmas Day in 1956 in Mobile, Ala. Through the years she resided in Saraland, Ala.; Warner Robins, Ga.; Jasper, Ala.; and Satsuma, Ala. She died April 15, 2020, in Mobile, Ala.
A private family service will be held. Burial at Bennett Cemetery.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Banks and Niota O'Rear, and nephew, Lance O'Rear. She was also preceded by a beloved dog, Buddy.
Shelby is survived by brother, Ronnie O'Rear (Eleanor); sister, Diane Langley (Joe); niece, Tanya Williamson; nephews, Lanny Langley (Ashley), Raney Langley (Mindy) and Joseph Chapman; great nieces and nephews, Braxton and Breanna Williamson, Isabella and Britton O'Rear and Blaire, Lyndon, Bankstyn, Browning, Bennett, and Kol'El Langley; aunt, Charlene Moles; uncle, Christopher Smith (Smitty) and loving friend, Shirley Burgett.
Shelby was one of the self-proclaimed "Three Muskateers" and leaves many funny, confidential, crazy, wild times and memories to the other two Muskateers, Sherry Graffeo and Darla Hardy. She leaves behind numerous, cousins, friends.
Shelby was a sweet, humble, loving, unselfish servant of God who enjoyed all of His creation. She enjoyed being outdoors, walking the beach, hunting, observing nature, and fishing. She respected all animals, and especially loved dogs, birds, and butterflies. She was truly one of the most loyal, kind-hearted, unassuming people we ever knew. She was a caregiver to Mother and is thrilled to join her and Daddy and other loved ones in Eternity.
The family commends the staff at North Mobile Nursing and Rehab Center in Eight Mile, Alabama for caring for Shelby. They also thank the residents for their friendship and support, especially friends Mary and Ellen and Betty.
