Betty Lou Shoemaker was my Aunt and my namesake.  She was a wonderful sister to my Mom, Kathryn Nagy.  I remember being at her wedding to Ted Dutcher and remember being with her when her son Ted was born.  She stood up through tragedy in her life and accomplished independence and success in her work and as a person.  She loved to travel and see and experience new things.  See enjoyed taking us to see new sights in the Washington, DC area and did that with us many times through the years when we visited there, she was a gracious hostess.  I saw her last just before my Mom passed away and she was supportive to me and to my stepdad which meant so much to us both.  She was a good and lovely person and she will be missed.
