

He was born February 24, 1948 in Waynesburg, a son of the late Jack C. and Grace Marie Lough Maskil.
Mr. Maskil was a 1967 graduate of Carmichaels Area High School. After graduation he served in the United States Air Force during the Vietnam War.
He worked as a coal miner and then as a steelworker with US Steel.
Mr. Maskil was a member of the American Legion Post #400, Carmichaels, and F & AM Masonic Lodge #164, Washington.
On October 28, 1967 he married Rose Jones, who survives.
Also surviving are two sons, Jack W. Maskil Jr. and his wife Erika and Todd A. Maskil and his wife Amanda, both of Rices Landing; four grandchildren, Camden A., Chase W., Caden A. and Grace A. Maskil.
Friends will be received from 1 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, in the Behm Funeral Homes Inc.1477 Jefferson Road, Jefferson, Gregory P. Rohanna, supervisor, where services will held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, March 7, 2015 with the Rev. John R. Dorean officiating. Interment will follow in Greene County Memorial Park, Waynesburg. Graveside Military Honors will be accorded by the American Legion Post #400, Carmichaels, The VFW Post , Carmichaels and the United States Air Force.
