

He was born December 21, 1934 in Hope Hollow, PA, a son of the late Phillip and Margurite Travis Sapp.
Mr. Sapp was a construction worker in Virginia and had also worked in the coal mine in Hutchinson.
He has resided in Jefferson since 1981.
On August 29, 1953 he married Sarah Jordan, who survives.
Also surviving are seven children, Edna Lame and her husband Gary of Mantua, OH, John N. Sapp Jr. of Berryville, VA, Donna Love and her husband David of Wiggins, MS, Cindy Clark and her husband Robert of Brunswick, MD, Gloria Mayerski of Parma, OH, Harry Sapp and his wife Amy of Brownsville, and Thomas Sapp and his wife Tina of Mt. Morris; 22 grandchildren; 19 great grandchildren; two brothers, Ray “Bud” Sapp of Bentleyville, Bernard Sapp of Climax.
Deceased are a son, Donald E. Sapp; a grandson, Willis Sapp; brothers, Daniel Sapp, George Sapp, Webb Sapp, Charles, Sapp, Phillip Sapp Jr., William Sapp, and Arthur Sapp; sisters, Shirley Shultz, Etta Trumpie and several sisters who died in infancy.
Friends will be received from 2 to 4 & 6 to 8 p.m., Wednesday in the Behm Funeral Homes, Inc., 1477 Jefferson Road, Jefferson, Gregory P. Rohanna, supervisor, where services will be held on Thursday, September 27, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Leonard Herrod officiating. Interment will follow in Jefferson Cemetery, Jefferson.
