

He was born May 17, 1933 in Waynesburg, a son of the late Alva W. and Martha L. Goslin Adamson.
Mr. Adamson worked as a repairman and lineman for the former Alltel Phone Company, retiring in 1995.
He also sever in the Pennsylvania National Guard, a former volunteer fireman with the Jefferson Volunteer Fire Company, American Legion Post #954, Jefferson, the Veterans of Foreign Wars, Waynesburg Moose Lodge #461, and the Bethel Park Sportsman Club.
Mr. Adamson was an avid bear and deer hunter. He enjoyed his Pittsburgh Steelers. He was known for his grass mowing and enjoying his Stroh’s beer.
On June 19, 1954 he married Garaldine R. Turner, who survives.
Also surviving are four children, Scott Adamson of Waynesburg, Donald Adamson of Rices Landing, Holly Stallard and her husband Bill of Rices Landing, and Tammy Adamson of Waynesburg; a granddaughter, Ashley Stevens (Jeff) of Memphis, TN; a great grandson, Gavin Michael Stevens; five brothers, Robert Adamson (Lesetta), James Adamson (Lawana), and Duane Adamson all of Waynesburg, John Adamson (Linda) of Ocala, FL, and Benjamin Adamson (Judy) of Ravenna, OH; two sisters, Elizabeth J. Lemley of Waynesburg, and Betty L. VanDruff of Mt. Morris.
Deceased are twin daughters who died in infancy; granddaughters, Jane Lee and two others granddaughters in infancy; two brothers, Charles Adamson and George Adamson.
Friends will be received from 2 to 8 p.m. Monday, in the Behm Funeral Homes Inc.1477 Jefferson Road, Jefferson, Gregory P. Rohanna, supervisor, where services will held at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, August 5, 2014. Interment will follow in Greene County Memorial Park, Waynesburg.
