
Arthur H. Scinta, a 35-year resident of Jensen Beach, passed away peacefully on April 8, 2022 with his loving wife Lucy by his side. He was 92. Born on Long Island, New York, he spent the first half of his life in Seaford, growing up there at a time when it was still a rural community. He was for many years a carpenter-contractor, first on Long Island where he learned his trade in the construction of Levittowns in Long Island and Pennsylvania, and later in Jensen Beach.
Mr. Scinta was a United States military veteran, serving in the Army Infantry in the Korean War and was a member of the American Legion, Florida Post 1.
He is survived by his wife, Lucy, two sons from a previous marriage, Arthur (Catherine) and Stephen (Diane), and two grandchildren, Samantha (Charles) Groome and Nathaniel Scinta. He is also survived by a sister, Ida (Sister Mary Vincent) and was pre-deceased by a sister, Mary, and brothers Vincent and Ralph.
Services will be at the Morningside Church, Port St. Lucie, Thursday, April 14 at 11 :00am.
