Irene was born in Sebewaing, Michigan to the late Harvey and Mabel Martens. She has been a resident of Florida since 2004. Irene was the Director of House Keeping at the Lutheran Home in Frankenmuth, Michigan. In the past she enjoyed golfing and reading. She was a homebody and enjoyed her home. She was well respected by her friends and family and will be missed dearly.
Irene is preceded in death by her sister, Donna Woolum; and son, Thomas Hudson.
Survivors include her husband of nearly 63 years, William “Bill” Hudson; sons, Timothy Hudson (Mary), Fenton, Michigan and Michael Hudson, New York, New York; daughter, Cheri McLaughlin (Mark), Clio, Michigan; numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren, and brothers, Frederick and Ronald Martens.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held on November10, 2016 at the Clio Senior Center in Clio, Michigan.
